Gràfiques Manlleu participates in the 8th edition of Industrial Tourism Week

The Blind Bus passed through Manlleu on this day of heritage dissemination

Manlleu participated last Saturday, October 28, in the celebration of the eighth edition of Industrial Tourism Week, promoted by the Industrial Tourism Network of Catalonia (XATIC) in collaboration with the Barcelona Provincial Council.

It is a week to discover the industrial heritage of different cities in Catalonia where museums, old factories, mines, textile colonies, interpretation centers or companies prepare activities such as guided tours, open doors, workshops or even Blind Bus. Passengers take a surprise tour with activities through various locations and facilities associated with the network. The only thing that participants know before the activity is the name of the route, the departure time and the arrival time.

This year, one of the seven Blind Bus routes offered was in Manlleu and was called A History of Water and Industry. The route began with a guided tour of the Museu del Ter and continued with a visit to the Mimcord factory (formerly Can Llanes). From there, they moved to the Rusiñol neighborhood and ended with a visit to the Gràfiques Manlleu company, enjoying a day based on the value of the industry of yesterday, today and the future.

The day was organized by the Economic Promotion Office of the Manlleu City Council together with the UPIC and the XATIC and had the support of the Manlleu Business Association (AEM) and the Museu del Ter.
